Binaries download into VCF Installer

Before deploying VMware vSphere Foundation or VMware Cloud Foundation, the necessary binaries must be downloaded to the VCF Installer appliance.

Below are the two methods to download the binaries into VCF:

Online method: If the VCF Installer appliance has internet connectivity (direct or via a proxy), it can be linked to an online depot, allowing you to download the required binaries using a download token generated from the Broadcom Support Portal.

Offline method: If the appliance does not have internet access, you can instead connect it to an offline depot or use the VCF Download Tool to obtain the binaries.

Note: You do not need to download all binaries if you are reusing existing components. However, even if you plan to skip the deployment of VCF Operations and VCF Automation and deploy them later with custom networking, you should still download their binaries, as they are required for the custom networking deployment.
